Art Club

Weekday Afterschool Program (K–8)

Art Club is a fun, creative, and skill-building afterschool program designed for students who love to create and explore.

This program gives children the chance to unwind after school, express themselves, and develop real artistic skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Art Club is perfect for:

What Students Do in Art Club

Art Club projects are designed to be engaging, hands-on, and flexible so all students, regardless of skill level, feel successful and inspired. Projects may include:

Painting & Canvas Work

  • Acrylic and watercolor painting

  • Themed canvas projects (e.g., landscapes, abstract, or personal expression)

  • Group collaborative mural painting

Sculpture & Clay

  • Clay modeling (including dragon eggs, animals, and fun sculptures)

  • Mixed-media 3D creations

  • Seasonal sculpture projects

Drawing & Sketching

  • Observational drawing exercises

  • Sketchbook practice

  • Mythical and imaginative art projects (maps, fantasy creatures, etc.)

Mixed Media & Creative Exploration

  • Collage, texture experiments, and paper projects

  • Pop culture and seasonal-inspired crafts

  • Fun “creative challenges” that encourage problem-solving and experimentation

Art Club Structure

Art Club is structured to balance learning and freedom, keeping children engaged while allowing them to explore their own creativity. A typical session may include:

  1. Warm-Up Sketchbook (15 min) – A short drawing or creative prompt to get the imagination flowing.

  2. Guided Project (45–60 min) – Students follow a demonstration or lesson on a new technique or project.

  3. Snack / Social Time (15 min) – Breaks for conversation, creativity, and fun.

  4. Independent Studio Time (30–45 min) – Students explore materials, work on personal projects, or collaborate in small groups.

  5. Sharing & Reflection (10 min) – Students present their artwork, discuss techniques, and reflect on the day’s creativity.
